This year Juan Ramón Zambrano, who has led the training and production work in the cooperative's ceramic workshop for many years, celebrated his 40th birthday.

In September friends from Honduras visited to impart a human relations workshop to enhance the personal development and teaching/learning skills of the dance and music students.

The music classes continue to progress with students learning both in group workshops and in individual lessons.

Superemos has offered dance classes to children from low income families in Estelí since January 2014. This brief video clip shows a typical class given by the very talented local dance educator Zeydi Ubeda. We hope to improve the classroom facility through December and January so as to offer a better facility for Zeydi's students in 2016

Depending on the availability of the right cheese, once or twice a month the cooperative produces a quantity of the very popular typical Nicaraguan rosquilla biscuits for sale to participants in our various education and training programmes.

We have made steady progress working with the local municipal authority to develop skills training classes for women anxious to learn sewing. The total number in the group now receiving classes is 23, two of whom are men. The classes are divided into two groups. One group studies from 8.00am until 12.00 noon. The second group studies from 1.00pm until 5.00pm

Educator Milagro Silva continues her work helping adolescents and young adults learn computer skills. Milagro's classes are small enough for her to help students who have difficulty assimilating new skills. A total of 24 students attend these computer classes. Currently we are using the lightweight Porteus Linux distribution which enables us to boot diskless clients over a network run from a USB device. The students learn to use word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications using the Libreoffice office suite.

In July, Superemos coordinated with the training officers of the local municipal authority whe were looking for space to implement part of their skills training programme. Since our sewing workshop is not used at weekends, we were able to assist this municipal training initiative with space and equipment for a total of 26 students, scheduled in two sessions a week, one on Saturday mornings and one on Saturday afternoons. The program is due to last until December.
