Helping Barrio Felipe & Mery Barreda get mains sewage installed

Submitted by admin on Tue, 10/06/2009 - 16:09
Since May this year, we have been waiting for approval from the local municipal authority and the local water authority for the proposed sewage pipe project for the Felipe and Mery Barreda barrio on Estelí's weestern perimeter. Approval in principle has been granted and on that basis on Saturday  October 3rd, the local barrio organizations arranged for a topographer to take the necessary readings and measurements to enable a plan to be drawn up by local engineers. Superemos has received funding of US$3000 from the Central American Fund for Human Development to facilitate this project. We are working closely with Erick Valenzuela and his colleagues in the local barrio organizations to make sure the projectgoes ahead as quickly as possible. The project will benefit over 100 families.
