Now the rains have started students from the Esteli Women's School Sunday classes are helping reforest the river as part of their natural science classes. The local municipal authority donated 200 trees to the school for replanting along the river adjacent to teh Superemos project site. Natural Science teacher Gustavo Sanabria worked with his students on June 5th to plant a total of 100 trees in an area fenced off to protect the trees form damage. The other hundred trees were planted along the river bank itself leaving a transit area for pedestrians and cyclists between the protected area and the river bank.
