Who we are

The Superemos Foundation is a non-profit foundation, registered with the Nicaraguan government since 1999. Based in our community center, conveniently located on the main highway heading north out of the city of Estelí, our mission is to promote sustainable community development through education, training and related health and social work programs.

We work closely with local partner organizations and with the relevant local authorities.

Our adult secondary education classes, supervised by Nicaragua’s Ministry of Education, serve people from low income families including over 150 mainly women students.

Over 60 children benefit from our music education classes which are validated by Nicaragua’s Institute of Culture.

We also provide  training in computer and audio-visual media skills, sewing, baking and ceramics. In the area of public health we have a program addressing domestic violence and promoting preventive health in the city of Estelí and its outlying communities.
